Managing partner of luxury real estate broker BLU Realty Group Vince Rocco and BLU Realty VP Shane Shimon announced that they have closed the sale of 41 West 74th Street in New York for $16.5 million. The refurbished Upper West Side townhouse had been on the market since summer 2012, originally having been listed with Sotheby’s broker Roger Erickson. After lingering on the market for over a year, owner Paolo Gouveas switched agents and hired the Vince Rocco team of BLU Realty Group. At the time of the listing agent switch, Rocco was quoted as saying that the owner of the townhouse “liked our enthusiasm”. That enthusiasm led Rocco’s team in closing the deal for townhouse owner Paolo Gouveas, a Brazilian oil executive.

The landmark townhouse is located in the heart of the Upper West Side only steps away from Central Park. The architecture of this townhouse built in 1910 remains a classic design. Situated on a tree-lined street just off Central Park, this luxury townhouse features many exclusive amenities. Boasting a total of twelve rooms that includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms and five half baths, its new owner will luxuriate in just over 9700 square feet of living space. Beyond spacious living, the townhouse features a garden, courtyard, elevator, rooftop deck, gym, hot tub, laundry facility and two full-grade chef’s kitchens. Entertaining guests is complete with a wine cellar. According to Rocco the new owner has “a very special opportunity to claim ownership of a great house and be a part of Manhattan’s heritage.”
